The Archaeological Park of the Nuraghe Losa - Abbasanta
The Nuragic civilization between history, culture and tourism
Visiting the Archaeological Park of the Nuraghe Losa is like plunging deep into Sardinian Prehistory.
As you cross the enclosure wall that once embraced the ancient village, suddenly you find yourself in the middle of a typical landscape in the basaltic plateau: oaks, mastic trees, brooms, strawberry trees...and basalt stone everywhere.
The nuraghe itself has been built with basalt too: huge, imposing and elegant. It may almost intimidate you, but once you pass through the entrance you feel welcomed by a magic and mysterious atmosphere; and you feel fascinated and protected by those heavy and perfectly cut stones artfully layed in circles just like big and powerful arms.
You can choose to visit the park in many different ways:
You can follow a guided tour to find yourself back in the past; or you can follow the guidances along the path dedicating some time to the small museum where you will see findings from the Nuragic period of the region, freely enjoying the magic and the quiet of the site.
You can do it alone or together with your friends or your pet;
or, if you prefer, you can visit the site at night time, under the summer moon light to live something different; new lights, parfumes and emotions with the full moon kissing the nuraghe and a glass of wine in your hands.
Or else, you can choose to experience samples of the nuragic life through our workshops, good for children or adults; otherwise you can choose from our special events performed through the year.
